A RICH HERITAGE
Fort Atkinson boasts a fascinating history and takes pride in preserving the past. Visit our historical landmarks and explore the Hoard Historical Museum & National Dairy Shrine Museum where you’ll explore the story of the 1832 Black Hawk War and find out what kind of soldier young Abraham Lincoln was. Also at the museum, be sure to visit the new long-term exhibit, Mysteries of the Mounds, which includes a 17-minute video program.
