October 2-3 – Palmetto State Quartet in Christian Concert

Palmetto State Quartet has been a mainstay in Southern Gospel Music Palmetto since the 1940s. With nearly 70 years of history behind them, PSQ is regarded as one of the premier Christian recording artists in the industry. Over the years, many wonderfully talented men have represented PSQ, always delivering the finest vocal harmony and superb stage presence. That tradition continues today under the leadership of owner Larry Strickland. After years of managing the career of his wife, Naomi Judd, Larry decided to return to Gospel Music as Bass singer for PSQ. Together with Lead singer Paul Lancaster, Tenor Robert Fulton and Baritone David Darst Palmetto State Quartet sets a high standard for vocal quality. With sixteen years in the pulpit Darst also serves as the group’s pastor and gives PSQ the ability to seamlessly transition from Christian entertainment to ministry. Their concerts are a true blessing to everyone who hears them. Tuesday and Wednesday matinee arrival 10:30am, Tuesday evening arrival 5:00pm.

October 6 – Norm’s Shout Out for Shelter Animals

Shelter Cats Join Norm in giving a SHOUT OUT for the shelter animals of the Humane Society of Jefferson County! Either kick back on the deck at his fantastic hideaway or find a good spot inside this phenomenal establishment to enjoy some good conversation with other animal lovers! Acoustical folk rock band Bathtub Mothers will entertain attendees from 3-6pm, and Lite 107.3 WSJY will broadcast live to let listeners who are unable to attend in on what they’re missing!

Dog attendance is welcome and encouraged as long as they are “people friendly,” “dog friendly,” current on all vaccinations, and leashed with a 4′ – 6′ non-retractable leash. Pet portrait photography opportunities by local artist Kandy Watson of “Who Shot Your Dog” will be available from 2-5pm.

Donations of HSJC Wish List items are welcome and there’s plenty of room in the shelter van that will be on site, so attendees are issued the challenge to CRAM IT! A 50/50 raffle, plenty of “chance” drawings and drink specials will add to the fun!
