Let’s face it. For those of us in the tourism industry, and for travel lovers, the COVID-19 pandemic has had devastating effects. And while there are many things that have been shut down, what hasn’t is our spirit and our ability to dream of our next get together. In Wisconsin, we know how to come together and support one another. And that’s inspiring. At the Jefferson County Tourism Council, we want to be ready to inspire visitors the way we always have, by promoting communities with events once we can celebrate again.

One thing we can celebrate together is the hard work that went into a great storytelling project for one of Jefferson County’s most dynamic communities.

After over a year-long production process, the Discover Wisconsin Johnson Creek episode aired April 25 & 26, 2020, and should be on your wish list to visit. The program covered four seasons worth of Johnson Creek’s unique and beautiful tourism assets and highlighted not only the great places you can visit to shop, eat, and play, but also touted the smart and positive growth of the Village.

The impacts of that smart growth have been the catalyst for creating a one-of-a-kind school campus and more businesses in the area. All of which help the community stand out with its lovely small-town charm with big ideas for potential visitors, residents, and businesses.

The Discover Wisconsin program is on a variety of stations across the state and region and has a viewing base of 11.5 million homes, with over 600,000 views per weekend showing. Here is a link to view the entire episode. You can also stream Discover Wisconsin on YouTube, Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Smart TV, IOS, and Android app.

As an added bonus, you’ll see other wonderful Jefferson County communities on Discover Wisconsin in 2020 as well!
