James Grippando is a New York Times bestselling author of suspense novels and winner of the Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction. He grew up near Antioch, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois and received both his B.A. and law degree from the University of Florida at Gainesville. Grippando was a trial lawyer for twelve years before he became a full-time writer.
Most of his novels are set in Florida, chiefly in Miami. He writes novels of suspense in the genre of crime fiction, including psychological thrillers and legal thrillers, many of which draw upon his experiences as a trial lawyer.
His most recent book is The Girl in the Glass Box, his twenty-seventh novel.
