Summertime is a great opportunity to photograph some of the most colorful insects around. During the lecture portion of the class, we will discuss macro concepts and equipment, and focus on the problems associated with fast moving small subjects. Photography of butterflies and other pollinators will take place in the outdoor gardens. Suggested equipment: DSLR or mirrorless camera, flash with off camera cord (unless your camera is equipped to fire flash wirelessly), macro or close focusing lens. Tripod is NOT needed.
