Live Music Series set for Downtown Watertown
The Watertown Main Street Program is excited to announce a new outdoor music series taking place in downtown Watertown this summer that will feature a variety of local musicians and help to highlight the beauty of the Rock River. The “Rhythm on the Rock” concerts will take place from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays in June, July and August and will be held along the Riverwalk, on the lawn between the Rock River and the Watertown Senior & Community Center.
The concert lineup for the inaugural “Rhythm on the Rock” series is as follows: Horse (Bill Bossingham) on June 5; Mare Edstrom & Kenn Fox on June 19; Paradocs (Thom McGorey & Wade Woelfle) on July 3; Marcus Klein on July 17; David Mazzie on August 7; and Silken Amelia on August 21.
There will be no outdoor seating provided, so attendees should bring their own blankets or lawn chairs for seating. The lawn may be accessed via the Riverwalk entrance near the Milwaukee Street bridge or through the main entrance of the Senior Center. Parking is available in the Senior Center lot. In case of inclement weather, the concert will relocate indoors to the Senior Center’s lower level Terrace Room. Attendees are welcome to bring food and beverages to enjoy during the concerts, but alcohol is prohibited.
There is no cost to attend the concerts, but donations will be accepted to help offset the costs of the series.
