A Beautiful Summer Wedding at The Hay Loft in Watertown

The Engagement

Jefferson, Wisconsin natives Brittney and Rob met each other through two of their good friends. One day, Rob asked Brittney to embark on a boat ride with him, something they love to do together since they live right on the river. As they were headed down the river, Rob played some country love songs with lyrics about marriage. At the time, Brittney thought nothing of it. She turned away for a moment only to turn back around to find Rob with the ring.

The Ceremony

Brittney and Rob said their I do’s on a warm August day at The Hay Loft, a beloved family-owned barn in Watertown.

The Reception

The reception was also held at The Hay Loft. The newlyweds shared their first dance to the song “From This Moment On” by Shania Twain.

The Decor

The couple decorated the space with lush greenery from Wine & Roses in Jefferson. They also made a DIY illuminated Polaroid picture board for guests to contribute to. When people arrived, they were able to snap a photo of themselves, write a note on the photo, and hang it up.

The Dresses

Brittney wore a Maggie Sottero gown. Her bridesmaids wore varying shades of light purple, silver, and gray.

The Food and Drinks

Brittney and Rob hired Glenn’s Market & Catering out of Watertown to prepare and serve the delicious food. For dessert, their guests indulged in donuts from Bon Ton Bakery in Jefferson. The reception also featured two signature drinks: Captain and Coke, Rob’s favorite, and amaretto and Sprite, Brittney’s favorite.

Words of Wisdom from the Bride

“It’s all going to work out in the end,” Brittney says. “The only thing that matters is that you are both there.”
