Website Reach Over 100K & Discover Wisconsin in Jefferson County

We here at the Jefferson County Area Tourism Council (JCATC) are really happy to share this news!

When we updated our website, enjoyjeffersoncounty.com, in April of 2021, after more than a decade with the former design, we knew we had a great new way to share all the tourism stories and options in Jefferson County to residents, business owners & employees, and visitors who were looking for ways to explore the world safely. But now we know just how much of an impact it’s made.

In 2021, our website reached 118,135 page views. This is a 100% increase from 2020 page views (54,913) and a nearly 50% increase from 2019 (81,154), which was our previous highest page view number. The website updates were possible when we utilized grant funding from a TRAVEL Grant awarded by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism in 2020. And we thank them so much for the funds and support! Our website designed by Jennifer Creative of Germantown, Wisconsin.

The increase in page views comes at a time when Jefferson County has partnered with Discover Mediaworks’ brand: Discover Wisconsin, on a three-year program to promote Jefferson County on their TV series, blogs, digital presence and shorts, and more. JCATC has been working with Jefferson County officials and Discover Wisconsin producers to help create interesting stories about the County’s best, and hidden, tourism treasures.

The Jefferson County episode is currently being filmed and expected to air in September 2022. Additional blogs, digital shorts, podcast opportunities, and episodes showcasing different Jefferson County tourism elements are expected to launch throughout the three-year program, ending in 2024.
