December 9, 2017 – Hoard Historical Museum Holiday Open House

Join the festive fun during the Hoard Historical Museum’s Annual Holiday Open House.  This event is free and open to the public.

Interactive activities include children’s holiday crafts and the opportunity to build your own gingerbread house out of graham crackers and candy. Enjoy holiday treats baked by the Museum’s volunteer bakers, admire holiday decorations, take in an exhibit on vintage cookbooks from the Museum Collection, hum along to holiday music, and vote in the Annual Gingerbread House Contest’s People’s Choice Award for your favorite creation.

The Gingerbread House contest is open to artists and bakers from around the region. This year’s contest theme is local landmarks where participants can construct their favorite house, business, or structure out of gingerbread.
