May 5 – Volunteer Your Time at Dorothy Carnes Park
The Jefferson County Parks Department will be working with volunteers at Dorothy Carnes Park in an effort to control invasive species in the park’s oak woodlands. The public is invited to help in this effort.
This year’s plan will focus attention on hand-pulling and spraying the garlic mustard that continue to plague the oak woodland to the south of the park shelter.
Volunteers are needed from 8:30am-12pm.
