Whether you enjoyed punk rock, hip hop or techno, we have some 80’s 1980 fun for you. On Saturday, we will create pet rocks, have some tye dye fun and enjoy an 80’s dance and costume contest in the evening. The 80’s not your thing? Don’t worry; celebrate Labor Day weekend with some good old fashioned camping fun. Participate in one or more of our many tournaments including: softball, youth/adult horseshoes, youth/adult bag toss and volleyball.

Enjoy a tremendous variety of collectible cars in Commons Park, downtown Lake Mills. Registration begins at 8am; car show from 10-2pm; Bill Sargent Big Band (free concert) from 1-4:30pm; 50/50 cash raffle; and lots of food.  Enjoy fireworks at dusk at the APV building on East Lake Street.

September 06 – November 01, 2012 – Watertown Citizen’s Police Academy


Our 2012 Citizen’s Police Academy is accepting applications at this time. The program is free and the requirements are pretty easy, 18 yrs or older, live or work in Watertown (though exceptions are made on this one) and no major criminal background. We meet every Thursday night for 10 weeks starting September 6, 2012 at 6:30pm and go until about 9 or 9:30pm. This is for people of all ages. There is lecture, class demonstrations and hands on activities. This program is designed to give citizens a look behind the scenes of our police department and really get to know what we do, why we do it and who we are as a department and individuals.

PtT This annual fundraiser, benefiting the Lake Mills Main Street Program and the Arts Alliance of Greater Lake Mills, truly does paint the town! Stroll the streets and stop in the stores as they are open late and full of wonderful surprises for you. End your journey with live music, food, and silent and live auctions at the final party location.

September 08, 2012 – Rock River Sweep


The Rock River Sweep is a one day river sweep event including all 285 miles of the Rock River in Wisconsin and Illinois by partnering all of the communities along its banks into a unified river clean-up.
