August 11, 2018 – Historic Walking Tour of Fort Atkinson

See where the history of Fort Atkinson happened! Join the Hoard Historical Museum’s Director, Merrilee Lee, on a walking tour of downtown Fort Atkinson.

Tours will meet on the hour at 8, 9, and 10 a.m. at the Fort Atkinson Farmer’s Market on Milwaukee Avenue, across the street from the Post Office. Tours begin and end at the information table and no reservations are required. Walking tours will be on level surface and sidewalks and last approximately 45 minutes.

August 11, 2018 – Johnson Creek Fireman’s Festival

Johnson Creek Fireman’s Festival is at Centennial Park on Saturday, August 11. Bike rides sponsored by TREK at 9am. Grounds open at 11am. Open through fireworks at dusk.

Annual family-friendly festival kicks off with a bike ride (sponsored by TREK) at 9 a.m. At 11 a.m. the grounds at Centenial Park open with food & beer tens, live music (including  featured headliner Chasin’ Mason at 7 p.m.), kids activities, a petting zoo, Tri-County Mini-Rods at 2 p.m., Badger Truck Pullers at 3 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.

For all Johnson Creek Library Summer Reading participants, the library will be on the grounds from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. to collect your reading logs and offer fun reading-themed games for kids.
