May 16, 2013 – Third Thursday Poetry Reading Event
The Friends of Lorine Niedecker sponsor a monthly “Third Thursday” poetry reading event at the Dwight Foster Public Library in Fort Atkinson. Each month there will be a featured poet followed by an open mic poetry reading. All poets are encouraged to attend. The length of time allotted to the open mic readers will depend on the number of poets.

What happens when you mix a kid friendly fun Bike and Run with a challenging adventure Obstacle Course, hosted at Busy Barns in late May? You get the first ever Fort Farm Olympics! For the first time ever, we will be combining one part challenge, one part competition and several parts of zany fun! Open to ages 6 to 100 the Farmathlon and Olympic Team Challenge will test children and adults physically and mentally, combining a run, bike and obstacle course with a few surprise adventures in between.
Participants are encouraged to dress for a mess, because, as with any farm chore, you may get dirty and wet! Presented by: 2Rivers Bicycle & Outdoor, Sport & Spine Clinic, Busy Barns Adventure Farm and Cross Fit; proceeds will be donated to Kids Oriented Causes!
