2022-23 Official Guides Are Here!

How do you enjoy Jefferson County?

Our 2022-23 Jefferson County Tourism Official Guide is here and asks this question on its front cover. And we at the Jefferson County Area Tourism Council (JCATC) have delivered all sorts of answers to this question through photos from actual Jefferson County residents and visitors throughout the guidebook. Our cover features some of our favorite photos to our Instagram page from folks enjoying various moments and events in Jefferson County. We encourage you to check out our Instagram page for more great photos and if you’d like to submit a photo for consideration on our Instagram page and in future printed materials, like the 2023-24 Official Guide, be sure to add the hashtag #enjoyjeffwico on your photo.

This marks the 24th year JCATC has produced the Official Guide for Jefferson county and it was designed by Jennifer Creative of  Germantown, Wisconsin. Plus, JCATC is working with Jefferson County officials and Discover Wisconsin producers to be a 2022 Discover Wisconsin Choice Destination and featured on Discover Wisconsin programming through 2024! You may recall four Jefferson County communities were Discover Wisconsin Choice Destination in 2020, including Fort Atkinson, Johnson Creek, Watertown, and Whitewater. You can find our blog piece with links to these programs here.

If you’d like your own copy of the Official Guide, 30,000 are being distributed throughout Jefferson County, including the Jefferson County Visitor Center located at the Jefferson County Fair Park Grounds, and multiple Chambers of Commerce and Tourism Centers and businesses in Waukesha, Dane, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties. JCATC is also branching out to areas similar to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s marketing reach including Northern Illinois, Iowa, and the Lake Express Ferry. You may also request one through this link.

The 2022-23 Official Guide is available on our website, which recently announced its record-breaking 100K+ visitor views in 2021. To keep web visitors engaged, the website includes more photos, an updated calendar, Top 5 and 10 lists of activities and experiences, more blogs, newly designed newsletter links, and will continue offering their popular Enter To Win contest for a chance to win gift certificates from the following Jefferson County participants: Cambridge Market Café, Crawfish Junction, Hi-Way Harry’s, Koshkonong Mounds, Mangiami, Outpost, Sprouting Acres, and Willow Brook Golf Course. The contest will run through the end of 2022 and JCATC anticipates awarding nearly $1,000 in total gift certificates.

So be sure to pick up or check out our guide when you’re ready to visit and we hope to see you soon!
