Madison Classics Swap Meet & Car Show Celebrates 47 Years in Jefferson

Spring is here and so is the Annual Jefferson Swap Meet & Car Show on April 26-27

Now two days! The Automotive related event will be held at the Jefferson County Fair Park located at 503 N Jackson Ave, Jefferson, WI 53549 just off Hwy 18 in Jefferson Wisconsin.

History of the Madison Classics Car Show

Madison Classics has always strived to provide a great place for auto enthusiasts to buy/sell/display a variety of auto related items and vehicles. The very first Madison Classics Spring show was held in February of 1977 at the Dane County Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin. After a few years in Madison, Gary Esse (founder of Madison Classics) decided he wanted to find a better venue and found a very promising fairground just 28 miles away in Jefferson, Wisconsin. In 1980 the Madison Classics event moved to Jefferson County Fair Park where the event is now held twice a year and is marked with well over 3,100 outdoor swap spaces along with hundreds of indoor spaces set on approximately 99 acres. The event draws thousands of vendors and spectators from just about every state. There are folks that travel from as far as Australia and Europe each year for the swap meets! Whether it is a professional vendor or a hobbyist cleaning out their garage, the vendors at the Jefferson Swap Meets know one thing – this is the auto swap meet to attend in Wisconsin.

Spectator Information

Madison Classics Spring Jefferson event will feature Mopar’s. The feature cars will be displayed in the main Activity Center Building and be sure to look for a larger display of vehicles in front of the main building lined up Friday & Saturday morning behind the Show Car registration tent. “It’s a tradition!” Gary Esse stated, “The City of Jefferson and surrounding communities have shown great support for our events, and we have made many lifelong relationships here. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for 47 years and many more to come!” Spring Jefferson Swap Meet / Car Corral & Car show is now two days April 26-27. The spectator gates for the Swap Meet / Car Corral are open Friday 8 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Saturday 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. All makes and models and specialty vehicles are invited to participate in the Car Show. No pets please.

New Show Added This Year

Madison Classics is proud to promote its newest auto swap meet, and car show tributed to President Gary Esse. Gary’s Hot Rod Reunion (GHRR) On June 15th, 2024, Madison Classics will launch a new Swap Meet and Car Show in Union Grove Wisconsin located at the Racine Co Fairgrounds. The show will feature an automotive related swap meet, show quality only car show and cars for sale corral. Madison Classics will be following close to their long-proven recipe similar to Jefferson’s swap meet, car show and car corral at GHRR. The biggest difference with GHRR will be only allowing automobile related items in the Auto Swap Meet, show quality only Car Show and a Car For Sale Corral. Madison Classics’ goal of GHRR is to reunite everyone who has a passion for classic cars. In the words of Madison Classics’ operator Erick Esse, “GHRR is a gathering place to reminisce, reconnect, and celebrate the hobby we all love so much.”

Madison Classics is proud to hold 3 events per year Spring Jefferson April 26-27 / Fall Jefferson September 27-28 2024 @ the Jefferson Co Fair Park. New addition is Gary’s Hot Rod Reunion held June 15 2024 @ Racine Co Fairgrounds.
