Spend New Year’s Eve in Watertown, enjoying the live music of Cold Sweat & the Brew City Horns at historic Turner Hall. This special new event is hosted by Watertown Tourism and the Watertown Main Street Program.

A Thing of the Past

New Year’s Eve was an event to be celebrated in years past in Watertown.  Live music, balloon drops, and special menus weren’t hard to find on the holiday.  In recent years, local events on New Year’s Eve have diminished, and plans have changed to activities at home or the need to travel to an event out of the city. Watertown Tourism and the Watertown Main Street Program joined forces to put together a grand New Year’s Eve event in 2019. For years their office took calls from people asking what was planned for New Year’s Eve in Watertown.  They had few options to direct the public to, and the 2019 New Year’s Eve  event was created to fill that void.

A Quality Event

Images of New Year’s Eve include champagne toasts, party hats and favors, and evening wear.  The two organizations wanted to incorporate those traditions into the event.  Guests can expect a red carpet entrance, hors d’oeuvres while they mingle, party favors, a selfie-station with props, a champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight, and a free safe ride home in a provided limousine.

Lucky Winners

All attendees will receive one ticket at event check-in for a chance to win a diamond necklace valued at $1,799 or a men’s watch valued at $375 donated by Bradow Jewelers. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase at Turner Hall on New Year’s Eve.

Great Music

No party would be complete without great entertainment, and the organizers spent a lot of time researching the right fit.  After a lot of consideration and several recommendations, they decided to book Cold Sweat and the Brew City Horns.  The band is a premier Wisconsin-based 8-piece show band, featuring expert horn and rhythm sections and dynamic vocalists. Cold Sweat performs cover hits from many genres including dance, rock, R&B, soul and pop. A sample of artists covered by the band include Sting, Peter Gabriel, Michael Jackson, Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire, Beyonce, Miles Davis, Bruno Mars and more. Cold Sweat & the Brew City Horns has performed at Summerfest, the Wisconsin State Fair, at multiple county fairs and sporting events such as the Green Bay Packers pre-game show, at the Milwaukee Ale House and at Potawatomi Casino.
