There are plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities year-round in Jefferson County, but for those looking to stay indoors, Watertown has a variety of activities to keep you busy.

 

GET ACTIVE

Skate Express Family Roller Rink is a fun, family attraction in Watertown.  Skate to your favorite music and play some roller games, complete with colorful lighting and a disco ball.  The business also services and sells roller skates. CATCH A MOVIE

The Towne Cinema is a three screen venue that primarily shows first and second run new releases. They also hear the voice of the community, and offer special showings based on suggestions of their patrons.  Towne Cinema is making movies affordable for families, by never charging more than $4.25 per ticket!  They have a vast concession stand with options for everyone.  The business is also known locally for giving back to the community with its many charitable contributions.   308 E. THROW AN AXE

Indoor axe throwing is all the rage, and Watertown is excited to welcome Kiss My Axe to the city.  Perfect for date night, family outings, and groups of all sizes, axe throwing is competitive and fun.  Children under 16 are welcome with an adult until 8pm.  16 and up after 8pm.  210 S. BOWL A FEW FRAMES

Watertown Bowl provides the community with two bowling venues to choose from.  Each location provides friendly, courteous service, along with a clean, family atmosphere.  The facilities can also hold your next group gathering.

TIME FOR A SWIM

The Watertown Indoor Pool offers lessons for all ages, water aerobics, and lap swim in the mornings and evenings.  On weekends, the pool is available for open swim from 1pm-4pm.   131 Hall Street

GRIND, BREW, AND SIP

Enjoy a coffee roastery tour at Berres Brothers Coffee Roasters.  Find out where coffee comes from and learn about Berres Brothers as a specialty coffee roaster.  Watch demonstrations on how to roast, grind, and brew the perfect cup of coffee, and enjoy samples from around the world.  Admission is free.  202 Air Park Drive

TRY YOUR HAND AT PAINTING

Set Apart Art is an artist studio located in an old train depot, loaded with history and charm.  Classes held at Set Apart Art Studio include: Canvas Painting (adults and kids), Kids Art Camps/Classes, Private or Group Lessons, Pottery Painting, Board Painting, Glass Painting, and more.
