Shop Fresh & Support Local at Fort Farmers Market
It’s almost September (how is that even possible?!), and that means you’ll also start to see the delicious fall harvest become available at Fort Atkinson’s local farmers market. The Fort Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8am – 12pm (May – October) in the Milwaukee Avenue Municipal Parking Lot right across from the Post Office. Along with a gorgeous view of the river, we hope you’ll stop by to shop the fantastic farm and art vendors, pick up a take-home craft for the kiddos, enjoy live music by local musicians, check out the new volunteer children’s garden, or just relax in the morning sunshine at the nearby Riverwalk Plaza.
This year, Fort Farmers Market started a children’s garden in collaboration with The Dwight Foster Public Library. Volunteers participated in the summer gardening program to help plant, weed, and harvest their eventual produce! Stop by the market to check out the garden’s progress.
With over 30 vendors, the Fort Farmers Market has something for everyone – fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, pickled and jam products, honey and maple syrup, marshmallows, flower bouquets, jewelry, woodcrafts, textiles, and more. Keep reading for a glimpse at some of the local vendors you can find at the Fort Farmers Market:
