The best way to get to know a city is on foot!

Sure, nothing beats a road trip, but sometimes you want to take at all in at a slower pace, appreciate the details, and then settle in to enjoy some local cheese curds or a cold drink. Fortunately, several Jefferson County communities have put together walking tour maps and suggested itineraries, and we’ve compiled many of them here for you.

Lace up those sneakers, grab your camera, and get ready to explore Jefferson County communities up close and personal!

Watertown is famous for its beautiful Octagon House, so if time allows, include a tour of that historic landmark. You can also go on a virtual tour of it.
