Goodbye 2021 & Hello 2022!

2021 is near its end and from everyone at Jefferson County Area Tourism Council, we thank you for visiting not only our site, but thank all those who traveled to our beautiful part of Wisconsin to see what we are all about.

Even with the enduring pandemic, we have such great things to celebrate. We launched our updated website, enjoyjeffersoncounty.com, to showcase our wonderful outdoor recreation spots to explore by foot, bike, and paddle throughout the county; award winning restaurants and breweries, one-of-a-kind and name-brand shopping experiences, and friendly folks to welcome you throughout.

As the year went on, little by little, comfort levels increased and things began opening up while still being vigilant to the community’s health. We thank all who took the time to be thoughtful when planning events big and small, as well as to those who thoughtfully attended events.

While the health landscape continues to be challenging, and the tourism industry continues to evolve, we are hoping for a healthier landscape in 2022 and will continue sharing all the things that are available and possible in Jefferson County. Our members are diligently working on our 2022-23 Guidebook to showcase all that makes Jefferson County a unique place to not only visit, but also work, and raise a family. Our newest guidebook will be available in March, so stay tuned for some exciting launch information this spring!

We are so ideally located between Madison and Milwaukee, and the Fox Valley and Rockford, that we a natural place for people to come together. So in 2022, we welcome you to come back and enjoy Jefferson County! And to kick off the new year, two Jefferson County communities will have their Discover Wisconsin programs re-air. Check your local listings January 1-2, 2022 to find all that’s Unique in Johnson Creek, and then again January 15-16, 2022, to check out all there is to do and see in Fort Atkinson. And while you’re at the Discover Wisconsin website, be sure to check out all Jefferson County’s contributions from these two communities, as well as recent programs highlighting Watertown and Whitewater.

Here’s wishing you all an enjoyable and healthy New Year!
