Haumerson’s Pond Annual Ski & Hike

Haumerson’s Pond Annual Ski & Hike

Haumerson’s Pond annual Ski & Hike night is coming up soon! Bring your family to Fort Atkinson to enjoy winter sports on the pond or on the trails. All kinds of sports and games will be offered including skiing, ice skating, hockey, broom ball, ice bowling, limbo, ice stock and more. After checking out everything on the ice, take a break with a quiet, relaxing hike along the nearby candle-lit trails.

No skis or skates? No problem! 2 Rivers Bicycle in Fort Atkinson will rent skates in advance and at the warming house the night of the event. Located right next to the pond, the warming house is the place to pick up your sporting equipment or warm up from the cold in front of the toasty fireplace. Windows on the second floor provide a magical panoramic view of all the festivities happening below. The second floor will also house the night’s entertainment by Julius Bindrim.

Baby Bean, a 1950’s camper turned coffee shop on wheels, will be serving coffee, hot cocoa, hot dogs, brats, and homemade cookies. There will be bonfires spread around the pond, so don’t forget to bring the marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers! Friends of Glacial Heritage Area will also be having a very special presentation. A perfect night with activities for everyone!

EVENT DETAILS: This free event will take place on February 8 from 6-9pm at the Bark River Nature Park. For more information regarding the event, please search “FRIENDS OF HAUMERSON’S POND” on Facebook.

Address: 550 South 4th St., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538
