Taking place for the first time in Fort will be a festive, family friendly winter “Santa Bike Ride” through town. This event has been coordinated by the Fort Atkinson Tourism Department with support from John Raub of 2 Rivers Bicycle and Outdoor and Jake Newborn of Wisconsin Bike Fed. Folks are encouraged to dress up in their most festive holiday attire (Santa suits, Santa hats, reindeer antlers, etc.) and go for a leisurely mid-day ride through town! To participate, gather at the MATC parking lot (827 Banker Rd, Fort Atkinson) at 1:00 pm on December 3. Riders will take off around 1:30 on an approximate 45-60 minute guided, marked tour through town, and end at the Farmer’s Market area where food trucks will be waiting (from 2:30-6:30). Riders can then return to MATC at their own pace. This event is free. While registration is not required for this event, participants may indicate interest or ask questions by contacting Tourism Manager Holly Tierney at [email protected]. Additionally, volunteers are still needed for the bike ride. Contact Holly to help out while having fun!

Other fun events the Chamber has coordinated for December 3 include horse and carriage rides, trolley rides, strolling carolers, and plenty of live music to keep a spring in the step of market shoppers. The musical line up is as follows:

Mike McClain 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Congregational Church

Jason Thomas Band 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM – Luther Elementary

Bahama Bob 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Café Carpe

Ad Hoc Trio 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Methodist Church sponsored by BKS Dental

If folks are interested in sponsoring a musical act or other activities and events on December 3, the Chamber would love the support. Contact [email protected] to learn more.

Stop by dozens of Fort Atkinson businesses on Saturday, December 3 for your chance to win a huge selection of locally donated gifts!
