Small Town Christmas Charm Awaits in Johnson Creek
The holiday season is right around the corner and this is the perfect time to visit Johnson Creek! We have that wonderful blend of outlet shopping with national brands, and small town charm events with homemade items that are sure to be a hit with everyone on your “nice list.”
Staring at 7am on Friday, November 25, check out the Johnson Creek Premium Outlets for great Black Friday deals at their 47 stores.
Then head on over to the Johnson Creek Historical Society from 2-6pm for the start of their Christmas in the Village events! All activities are free and so are the cookies, cocoa, and cider! Plus check out their tree lot for trees and swag and inside for homemade items for just about everyone on your holiday list! They also have these free activities:
*Holiday Ride on a Firetruck: 4:30-5:30pm
*Decorated Gingerbread Contest: 5pm
*Ugly Sweater Contest: 5:30pm
The fun continues on Saturday, November 26th at the Johnson Creek Historical Society from 9am-2pm with these fun free activities:
*Reindeer Games: 9:30am
*Visit with Santa: 10:30-11:30am
*Horse & Wagon Rides (sponsored by J&L Tire; see photo): 10:30am-1:30pm
*Decorated Gingerbread House Display: open until 2pm
November 26th is also the start of the highly anticipated: Something Special from Wisconsin Holiday Market at the Johnson Creek School Campus. From 9am-3pm you can check out more than 70 vendors from across the state to find that special piece made with love from Wisconsin for all those on your list that are near and far from home. You’re sure to find something special…and unique! The event continues on November 27th from 10am-2pm.
November 26th the fun in Johnson Creek continues with the Friends of the Johnson Creek Library’s Holiday Craft Fair, also at the Johnson Creek School Campus! Here you’ll also find handmade crafts, local authors, and an auction!
And don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Johnson Creek Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 4th, from 3-5pm at Veterans Park. This is a free, family-favorite event that features not only the lighting of the Village tree, but also special appearances from Santa and Mrs. Claus!
If you aren’t into all that holiday baking…check out Grandma’s Bakery on December 10th, from 10am-noon, at the Johnson Creek Historical Society, where you’re sure to find all your favorite holiday cookies and support this local nonprofit.
