Members of the Jefferson County Tourism Council (JCTC) represent communities throughout Jefferson County. During the pandemic we have continued to meet, virtually, to discuss how the pandemic has changed and affected our communities.

As many of you know, the tourism and hospitality industry was one of the first affected in devastating ways. Many were forced to cancel and change their 2020 travel plans, as events were cancelled, and establishments closed for safety reasons.

Know that we at JCTC continually monitor the websites of the Center for Disease Control’s Considerations for Travelers – Coronavirus in the US, the State, and County to be aware of travel guidelines and mandates.

That said, as a team, JCTC decided to remain positive and looked for ways to help. We surveyed our members and came up with the TOP 5 THINGS TO DO in Jefferson County. As many of our communities’ restaurants and retail establishments are fully following CDC, state, and county mandates and guidelines, we encourage all visitors to view the websites of individual businesses and organizations to learn how they are keeping their customers and visitors safe during this time.
