Koshkonong Mounds Country Club
The oldest, most historic golf club in Jefferson County is Koshkonong Mounds Resort – known today as Koshkonong Mounds Country Club. It was established in 1924 and was originally built amongst the prehistoric earthwork mounds built by the early indigenous people who spent the summer and early fall harvest seasons on the eastern bluffs of Lake Koshkonong. Many, if not all, of these earthwork mounds are still visually present today.
Koshkonong Mounds CC is a limited access private club that has been highly acclaimed over its nearly 100 years of existence. But none more notable that being named 4 stars on Golf Digest “Best Places to Play”. So if your looking for a golf adventure, that includes a history lesson as you navigate your ball around this pristine, historic club – you’ve found a gem.
