The Reu farm has two barn quilts. The red, white and blue Farmer’s Daughter barn quilt pattern represents all farmers’ daughters that grew up on the farm. The barn quilt colors honor the American heritage of the Reu family, the farm and its 100th birthday in 2010. Family members from all over the US, and Germany, came to celebrate on the farm. Painting the barn quilt was one of many celebration activities. This barn quilt hangs on a 1976 farm equipment storage shed. It is best viewed from Strunk Road.
