Ohio Star
Margaret Liebmann has been quilting for many years, and she always wanted a barn quilt. She wasn’t sure exactly how to go about it so her daughters took over. The daughters knew Tawney Hadler was creating barn quilts, and Margaret’s oldest daughter happened to be a childhood friend of Tawney’s mom, Mariah. Tawney created and hung the red, white and blue Ohio Star barn quilt on Margaret’s shed. The red shed on her farm was chosen because the quilt could be seen better from busy Highway 12. The farm has been in the Liebmann family since 2014. Margaret inherited it when her friend and neighbor passed away. The only stipulation is that Margaret would care for her horses. The farm/barn is now home to five horses.
